Broken MorRyde Suspension, Experts needed
Oh man did I get into a doozie.....I am hoping some experts on these can advise how to fix this conundrum.
Trailer is a 72 Avion La Grande. I took a spin around the block today and saw the trailer leaning. Once back I looked under and saw the shock mount broken on the left/driver side. Both were actually. I jacked it up, removed the wheels and saw the large suspension block was also broken off the frame, see pics. I will be calling MorRyde in the morning to see what they suggest.
The how is not too important for me (guessing shocks), but fixing it is. Questions below
1- the block appears to be bent upward. What is behind here? If I remove the 4 bolts on each side, will it then come off?
2- What is causing the bending? You can see the block is broken on both sides of the frame mounts and pushing into the sub floor. Can I bend this down or is a replacement needed? Or put a bottle jack in push down?
3- do any of these parts go through the axle to the other side?
4- I will go ahead and replace all the rubber bits on both sides when I get to that point. They still make these? Or is there an upgrade I should do at this point?
Am I missing anything else? TIA
