Back bigger and Better

Hi Everyone, I was lucky enough to find a 1953 Spartan double ender with all original interior, appliances, flooring, doors, locks, screens its all there. I went to texas a month ago and dragged it back to California. I had a 1950 Silver Streak Clipper I moved on to a member here. John Redondo beach, CA

Beautiful! Congratulations on finding your Spartan. Those were built in my home town.

Hi Everyone, I pulled the axles and had a friend replace a few outriggers in the frame and also box the frame in a few more spots. I will finish the subfloor this coming weekend.

So cool, My dream trailer. I have a 23' Silver Streak I'm remodeling now. I'm from Tulsa too. Houston now.
During the war my dad was a navy, aviation machinist at Spartan aviation. Before the trailers, though.

Interesting Axles

Really cool project! I've always liked Spartans.

Can you elaborate on the axles a bit? How do they work? Is that a boot on each end, like a CV joint boot? Is it a coil spring? I've never seen axles like that...curious how they work.

See ya on the road!
