1968 Avion Questions

Hello everybody I'm a new owner of a 1968 Avion, and I am looking into fixing a few things that have been run down on my trailer. I've already fixed a couple roof leaks, and now I'm planning on re-carpeting it. Before I do that there were a few other things i wanted to get squared away, but have had a hard time finding any information on. The back window in the bathroom is missing, I have covered the hole with plywood for the moment, but I would really like to get a new window. What do people usually do about that? It would be nice if it would open all the way, but I'm not sure how the original window was. Another problem area is the door, I'm not sure if my trailer came with a screen door, but i would sure love to put one on her. Where would I find a screen door, and possibly the outside door for my trailer since the one on it has obviously been pried open and bent around the handle at one point? Another thing is my air/heating unit. It is unhooked, so i'm not sure about its working order, but i'm assuming that it is busted. What is a good and inexpensive unit that would fit my trailer? I'm sure I have many more questions, but thats it for now. Any help or insight would be truly appreciated.

Thanks

Wes

I don't know what kind of windows Avion used. But most trailer manufacturers bought their windows from a window specialist such as Hehr. Look on your other windows for a maker's name or trademark. Measure the old window opening. Now you know what brand and size you need.

If the window maker cannot supply a new window you will have to find a used one. It does not have to come from an Avion, chances are many other makes used the same window.

There is a very good Avion website. They may be able to help with better advice. I do not have it bookmarked but if you do a Google search for Cayo Avion I am sure it will turn up. Cayo is the original maker of Avion trailers.
