I'm wiring my marinco 125v 30 amp connector up and looks like theres a red wire as part of the original wiring. does that mean its 240V? I thought it was all 125V. or is the red wire a ground?

I'm not an expert on electricity but is it possible that, may be the previous owner used a 4wire as "shore power cord".
That happened to us when we got our Avion and it had the 50Amp plug but all the set up was still 30Amp.

I think you need to unplug the trailer and use a test light or multimeter and see where on the plug the wires go. Then you will know if different color wire was used for the ground, and if the plug is wired correctly. You can use any color wire as long as it goes to the correct place.
