1950 Star Trailer

This trailer is sitting along highway 44 in Missouri, just east of Rolla. We saw it as we headed down to the Branson Fall rally and had to stop on the way back. It's cool, great skin and all windows intact except where the air conditioner is. The skin is not rivited on, but screwed which makes us think it has a wood frame. EXTENSIVE inside water damage. The entire roof is tarred and painted silver. I wanted to share the photos (and I have a few more if anyone is interested) because it is called a STAR!

Great windows, especially the portholes. I agree with Airslide. This trailer must have been gorgeous.

I think the window says $1000.00 OBO
One thing I thought was interesting is that there are no noticeable wheel wells. I wouldn't want to change a tire on it.

Ken

Looks like $1000 or OBO to me. If one is into restoring it don't look to be in bad shape at first glance.

More photos...

No, it wasn't real ceramic tile.
Yes, price is $1000 or obo. I think it's quite a stretch...

Here are some more photos, I am not sure the water damage was clear in the first photos. My guess is the paint is covering a lot!

The years have been hard on the old girl. I was at the Silver Trailer Social in 2004 and someone rolled in with one that looked a lot like this, but I think it was gold colored. It was 'in progress'. This looks like a neat project, but it's needing a complete teardown from top to bottom. It's a lot of work.

Yes, two door model, both on curbside.

Here is a google map. This is just east of Rolla. I couldn't get the area section centered, you may need to go just a bit west when you open the map. If you follow old Rt. 66 just north of 44, you will see county roads: Co Road 2000, Co Road 2020, Co Road 2005. Where Co Road 2005 ends into Co Road 2000, you would go east again and Co Road 2000 ends in that "j". It is right in the curve facing the highway. We got off at Highway V intersection east of Rolla and took the north outer road headed back to Rolla. If you passed the trailer, you would get off at Rt. 63 exit and backtrack east on old Rt. 66.

rolla mo - Google Maps

Does that make sense? PM me if you need more details.

Tina

Hunhhhh?

Tina.....your directions read like an Abbott and Costello "who's on first" dialog. Get back to work on the Curtis.

Ok ok

Sometimes I tend to be a bit "wordy."

Bob, after thinking about it, your Tar Baby does not need a friend. You need to let this girl go... Too much tar makes for bad days ahead. Don't do it!!!!!

Nice, but I agree with Melody Ranch. I'll be over to help if ya want.

The rains were not kind to the flying cloud, and I have to get my belly pan and panel replacement done ASAP.
