You're right. It was found by the CCC workers who cleaned the rubble out of the cave back in the 1930's.

That one must be in California, Washington, or Oregon. I'm sure I recognize the view as somewhere I've been. However, I can't pin it down.
By the way, I like your choice of a toad.
I noticed your mention of Hanalei as one of a few residences. I was renting a beach house in Hanalei just before Thanksgiving in 1982. That was one of my life's great adventures. When we figured out that Hurricane Iwa was bearing done on us, it was too late to get to the shelter in Kilauea, so we ended up holing up in the Princeville Police substation. Coincidentally the ham who was supposed to man the emergency radio station could not get there. When they found out I was ham, I ended up being the only communications with the north end of the Island, when the police radio failed. What a fantastic location to view a hurricane. The eye went right over us.

I've been looking for one that might be a challenge. Hint: Photo taken from our site in a small campground off the beaten path. Looking for name of nearest town.

Steve, you got the state correct, but it's not on Mt Desert Island.

Well maybe it needs another clue as I've had only one try so far. This bridge is the only road access to the town where we were camped.

In that case, I think it's Deer Isle, Maine?

Well Steve, besides being a fellow Texan, you're well acquainted with Maine! Any thoughts on the town or campground we stayed at? The 1st time I saw that bridge, my thought was of the video where the Tacoma Narrows Bridge collapsed in a wind.

At this point, I would just be guessing, but how about Greenlaw’s RV and Tenting Park, Stonington, ME?
I actually had to do some researching to get Deer Isle, amazing what you can find on Google.

Stonington is correct but Greenlaws isn't near the water, but next to an airfield. We were at Old Quarry Ocean Adventures. There are a handful of RV sites but the one we snagged at the end of the season was the only one that backed up to the cove. He rents kayaks in the summer and has a deal with one of the local lobstermen to keep his dockside pen stocked so he can boil one for you or has the stuff to let you do it yourself. He also does charter tours of the area and a passenger ferry service to Isle Au Haut. There's no sewer or dump facilities on the island and the 30A outlet at our site wouldn't satisfy our heat pump, probably not an issue in the summer climate of Downeast. It was a quiet place to escape the tourists and watch the lobster boats come and go. Stonington has a couple of decent restaurants. The bridge might be intimidating particularly if one met a truck hauling granite blocks coming the other way. They are supposed to keep a 500' following distance on the bridge. There was another Airstream at Old Quarry that looks permanently set up for one of the summer employees.
