The worst snow we ever saw was when we lived in 'the palm springs of Washington'!
We had a few feet of snow with drifts to the roofline! Had to dig out a channel to the yard so the dog could go out. Then we sat around all day listening to the radio (power was out) as people called in with their winter misfortunes. My favorite was the guy who called in to say he saw his neighbor take a pot of boiling water out to pour on their car windows to clear the ice, and instead the window broke. The guy was watching it happen while he was on the phone with the DJ, so it was a play by play - hilareous! It was like a radio show, we were shouting at the radio 'no, don't do it!'!
Before that storm was over we were even running out of groceries in the stores because Snoqualmie Pass had been closed for so long the trucks couldn't get over to bring supplies. That was some crazy storm!
Couple more inches here overnight and it's still snowing! I'd say it's easily the worst we've seen in the ten years we've lived here.
