When I was growing up Stardust was considered the most important, best, most everything song ever written. There's a lesson there about how we think we are the the middle of the most important time or whatever that has ever happened—ego thinking.
I haven't seen any song that has replaced Stardust, though I suppose "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" may qualify in some circles.

The Stardust album is etched in my memory. In 1980 we sailed from San Francisco to Hawaii in a 35' sloop, and there was an 8-track tape deck onboard with really good headphones. I had the midnight to 0400 watch, and played that album until I wore grooves in every track, so to speak.
How does 40 years slip by so quietly . . . ?

Fall in Texas at the house.
I just found this discussion. Here is a shot of my Argosy in the driveway from a couple of years ago when the trees were in fall color which isn't a long time here in Texas.

My AS doesn’t get to our home very often. We put up a carport at the farm, it’s an extra bedroom up there, and gets a lot of use.
