Yes, that same storm that hit Austin this morning left us with two feet of the white stuff. Not very fun. Our road is so narrow now that, with one more storm, we won't have a road to the house any more.

Yo peeps - heard this morning the Northeast and New England is posed to have 5 to 7 FEET of snow from the next storm; today's will move on but the next one is supposed to stall for 4 to 6 DAYS... Good luck y'all, I thought that was what this post was on... (Source: Weather Channel this AM 23 Feb 2010)

I guess I should steal Maria's camera, go out, and take some pictures of the "snow valley" (what our roads used to be) and the poor Airstream.

So many comments - most are what Ohio is like in the winter! Unfortunately, we've had MORE than the usual amounts of snow this year. Last Feb. we had 1/4" of snow - this Feb., so far, we've had something like 25" of snow. It's been several days since we've seen bare ground and it's been nearly that long since we've gotten my wife's 2 wheel drive auto up our drive. The 4 wheel drive Armada (TV) goes right up the drive (approx. 300' long with a rise of 65'). Nothing has kept it at the bottom of the hill yet. We did take the AS to Jackson Center about five weeks ago for some minor warranty work. They called me two weeks ago saying all was done and she was ready for the return trip but I've been snowed out and yesterday we had freezing drizzle - I didn't want to make the 250 mi. round trip in that kind of weather. Speaking of weathermen and their predictions - around here we often refer to them as having predicted 15 of the last two storms. But, this year, we listen to them. Most schools have exhausted their 5 "grace" school days (days that don't have to be made up in the spring). They are already talking about extending the school year to make up for the lost days and others will go to school on Saturdays to make up their additional lost days. It's been some kind of winter! I would like to think about where to go in the winter to avoid this white stuff - but nearly every place we've thought about had snow on the ground this winter. C'MON SPRING!!!

Good morning everyone... Seems there is more snow in the south than here in Peterborough, Ontario... we will be getting 2-4 inches in the next 2-3 days. We have been seeing the grass for a few days until now.....spring is just around the corner..
