September 2022 Photo Contest
Wow! Thank you for picking Lake Superior as winner of the August photo contest - it was indeed a special moment as the mighty lake seemed to be holding its breath early one morning.
Strangely this morning I was on the way to pick up our Airstream for a 4 week Fall trip in Quebec, and as we drove I found myself humming September's photo contest theme:
"Country Roads - almost heaven".
Any road will do - big, small, tracks, with or without your Airstream - just something about the road that caught your eye and your camera!
I apologise in advance - we will be off grid most of the next 4 weeks in the depths of Quebec national parks but will look forward with interest to the posts!
Here's a couple of examples:

Congratulations on winning/hosting!
I took this one several years ago during a VAC Caravan through South Dakota.

Hummm. Ok. THis was from a trip I took late last fall down to the Bernardo Wildlife Area to take pics of the cranes. It's a state wildlife area about ~60 miles south; not as large as Bosque del Apache, but a little closer!
Obviously, this picture isn't cranes. (I'll post one of them, too, but just because I like taking pics of them.) You're basically looking acrosss the Rio Grande rift zone. I'm on the east side; the volcanic mountains in the background are on the other side of the rift. The bottom of the rift as a few thousand feet below the river.

September 2022 Photo Contest
Great theme! I’ll keep it close to home since we live on a country road. First pic is looking east down our road with our home being in the woods on the left. July 16, 2019 at 6 pm coming home from work.
This next one is the same location looking the opposite direction to the west on August 7, 2019 around 1:30 in the afternoon, heading back to work after lunch.
Sometime between those dates they put chip and seal on our road

I'm not sure if the first pic qualifies as any road / track or not but it seems to fit the intent of the OP looking for paths to somewhere or nowhere. I just liked this picture as the track blends into the waterfall at the end. Barachois Falls near Rose Blanch, Newfoudland.
The second pic is a paved road that hugs the coast on the Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia as viewed from the Skyline trail.
