I didn’t like being left...
To do a day long river rafting trip, we opted to board our two dogs, Charlie (a year old Havanese) and Belle (our 7 year old GSD) at a kennel for a night and a day because of the heat. After picking the dogs up at the end of the rafting trip, the following morning, I found a gift from Charlie on the middle of the dinette- clearly, the question "can Charlie hold a grudge" had been answered, and a turd had been precisely planted in the middle of the dinette! We called him the turd king for the remainder of the trip. Here he is in a happier moment

A great photo visually -- nice sky reflection -- a winner for attention-getting photo quality IMO!

Loving all the "assistants" so far! We're nearing the end of our month long journey (we're out this weekend as we speak). Still time to post a snapshot of your trusty copilot. Pets of course are welcome, but not mandatory, so don't forget to think outside of the box!

Toby the Cairn Terrier
Toby loves to travel with us. Just got his own Burley trailer so he can go on bike trail rides as well. I swear he does not know he’s really a dog. Truly man’s best friend.
1). Is that my plate?
2). Really? What did I ever do to you to deserve this?
3). Let’s go!

Gunther the bed-hog. We are all newbies in this family. Gunther figured out how to take over the bed...Bailey wasn't very happy so she got the dinette.

Alright, gang, there was quite a bit of discussion this morning between me and the Mrs. (I believe her exact words were "I'm glad I don't have to pick the winner"[emoji849]). We all love our copilots, but taking into account factors such as photo quality, composition, theme, creativity, etc., I think we have a decision for the September Photo Contest "Copilots"...
So without further ado,
First place and the honor of selecting October's Photo Contest theme goes to: LARRY MAEVE and Harry (post #29, "I see it")!
A tie for second place and kudos for "thinking outside the box" goes to Fjord F-150 for "Addie", the map reading dog (post #37) and STstudios for "Gabbana", the hood ornament Pom (post #25).
And finally, the "Genie Memorial Honorable Mention" award goes to SteveNdebbie's picture of "Solomon" and his rapt attention to the road (post #10). This one tugged at my heartstrings as this was Genie's classic copilot pose during the many thousands of miles we traveled together... enjoy your travels together!
Thanks to all who participated and submitted images and thanks for letting me judge ak your submissions. I can't wait to see what LARRY MAEVE has in store for us this month.
