vswingfield you have a big Airstream! What is the snake doctor? That is a stellar entertainment center, that baby is BIG screen! I like the surface of your wood, what is that? Very luxurious unit, nice job.
Ok I have some mulled wine over here and the eggnog is here. Hope we have some others attend. I am having a ball. Thanks for the tours.
|
I am also enjoying the interiors!
The screen makes a great monitor, too. That’s my screen saver in the photos.
The “Snake Doctor” is simply a piece of bended laminate that slips into place beside the satellite receiver to hide the “Nest of Snakes (cables, power strip, power cables, phone lines, etc…)” The laminate is a scrap from the table/counter top and is Wilsonart Deepstar Mineral. ( Wilsonart Home Laminate Cart - Deepstar) The photos don’t really do it justice.
Plans include replacement of the carpet with cork this spring and a new dinette at the same time. Longer-term plans are to replace the dark cabinet fronts and closet doors with ash with zebrawood accents. New photos will be forthcoming.

Wheel Interested:No we have only had the one good old Squarestreams.Guess thats why we only belong to the 4CU also.
When we where looking for a Airstream we could not find out much about Squarestreams.Took us over 2 years to find a good one. That is why I have so much about Squarestreams posted at the Airstream trailer forum secton under Squarestream.I hope the info will help others.

Safari 62 Got my pen, where's your book? Very nice woodworking and metal restoration, the bed area looks super too. What is over the fridge at the door? Is this your 22', it's huge inside! Do you know how much the cyber open house is saving me, not to mention being able to travel like this in winter?!
Hi Carol, welcome back. Yes the old fridge had a exhaust pipe leading to a small hood that vent to the outside (more or less i think) With the new and smaller fridge I decided to close off the original rectangular vent and add this somewhat organic housing and seal it off also. There is also a small exhaust fan built in to the housing. The gasses go out through a channel inside the wall to a small vent on the roof.

Here are some pictures of our AS. We bought our AS in December 2007 and did a little remodeling on the interior to make it more contemporary.

Wheel/Carol, it's Don and Gail from Riverside CA, your neighbors in Bozeman!
I noticed that Jimmini is modest, he didn't show any picts of his Squarestream. Here you go, direct from Death Valley where he joined us for a Sierra Nevada Unit Rally.
Sorry for the exterior shot but you know that without curb appeal no one is going to stop to look inside!

First two shots are the beaming new owners who traded a 22' CCD for a 25'CCD while on their first cross country vacation! Third shot shows the first interior upgrades.

I can't seem to figure out how to get thumbnails to work here... so I'll let you know that I have interior pics on my blog's sidebar.
Loving the open house... I'm the curious type... so this piques my interest...

Got it!
Ours is a bit lived in by now. Here are a few from April, one taken earlier this month, and another this afternoon:
Front to back view
Back to front view (and view of Lake Barkley out the dinette window)
All decked out for Christmas
Hubby's new radio antenna
