Porteau Cove!
The peer is where they filmed the scene from Double Jeopardy when Ashley Judd drove thar car off the ferry into the water. The peer has been retired from ferry service for a long time.

Thanks to all for the great participation this month. Over 75 photos. We loved the diversity of locations and types of campsites featured. You've given us lots of places to put on our "go to" list.
We narrowed it down to our favorite five photos.
Winner :
Janet B, photo of Eastern Sierras the color and location were beautiful. That sky swirl with trees and mountains!
2nd place:
Steve & Debbie, Mist rising on the lake. Beautiful inviting setting.
3rd place:
Sneakinup, Beautiful lakeside with the suns glow, what a place to wake up.
4th place:
Topher2u2, Those trees with the back hatch open invites us in.
5th place:
Greenjeans, Fall colors, jackets, friends, fire and furry friend.
Honorable mention to MountainMan for the beautifully framed fall photo. Gorgeous, just missing the Airstream.

Thank you Hittenstiehl! There were so many stunning photos of inviting campsites that this is quite a surprise. This is definitely one of my favorite threads, and thanks for keeping it going. I'll try to come up with a theme for November's contest by tomorrow.

Congratulations to janetb for that wonderful submission photo! And also to my wife, Debbie, for her runner-up photo rising mist on the lake (I’ll see if I can get her to take more photos [emoji2]).
