Great pictures with moving stories. Family and friends, is what Thanksgiving is all about. Breezingalong, no doubt you made Grandma's day. Mellincat, your grandkids will never forget your camping trips. Nature is a good teacher. Catch and releasing fish, shows compassion. Leave no trace, teaches respect. You one day, may be in a similar photo like Breezingalong's

Articfox, Now, that's a christmas card. You made both Norman Rockwell and Wally Byam proud. If Norman was still alive, I'm sure he would return the favor for wally

On A Silver Platter

I love the Airstream on a Platter!! Awesome photo... can I put it on my Facebook page?

Also, I love the idea of a Photo Concert!! :-)

I'm thankful that I have an Airstream and a husband and a dog to put in it!

For whatever it's worth - I loved the Photo Concert! That's an "error" that didn't need fixing! 😀

Well said, NicheVantage, and great shots, the second of which has a quiet countenance from that rainy/foggy morning, if I am seeing things right. Thank you for submitting your original personal photos.

Happy Thanksgiving to All !

Peter

PS -- May I please remind everyone, as November comes to a close, that this monthly contest is intended to follow the guidelines set out years ago? [See Post #4 here for further details.]

We came to Airstreaming late. Years ago I had frequent flier miles to burn. One option was 5 free tickets anywhere in the continental US and a discount on a rental Class C. We flew to San Francisco, rented a 24' mini Winnie, and headed up the west coast. Our children were probably 16, 7, and 5. Coming up on retirement we remembered that vacation as one of, or perhaps the best and started talking about getting an RV. It ended up being an Airstream. I am thankful for that vacation, my family, and our Airstream family.

We are so thankful for the life we have and the new chapter that the Airstream will bring! That includes this wonderful community that I've learned so much from and gained the confidence to jump in with both feet! This was us picking her up in Saturday. I usually only wear overalls around the farm, but needed a comfortable outfit for driving 6 hours in! Click image for larger version

Salvation Mountain

Photo was taken at Salvation Mountain, in Slab City, near the Salton Sea in southern Ca. 3 generations at a family reunion. It is the vision of Leonard Knight who built his tribute to God and Love mostly by himself over decades.

Another perspective. The barn is built from a repurposed school building. Over a century of history.

Thankful for first trip in my newly renovated 1979 31' Sovereign. Comforting to know that when I stopped it was going to be warm, dry and comfortable - after 30 yrs of tents and a popup.
