Milky Way over the Airstream

Camping in a dark sky area and seeing the Milky Way appear over our Airstream is an amazing thing. Being able to document it on a cell phone blows my mind. The Google Pixel astrophotography is getting insanely good. -Ari

Great picture! Alas, I have a measly iPhone 15. How does it work? Do you need a tripod? I've tried with my fancy mirrorless Sony camera and time-lapse but wasn't the greatest.

Northern lights are supposed to be tonight! You might be in range.

Thanks! We're in New Mexico tonight, so I think we're out of range for the Northern Lights.

On my Pixel 8 Pro, the Nightsight setting switches over to Astrophotography when you stabilize the phone. I propped it against a GoPro tripod I own and it worked!

That is wonderful! Good dark sky is getting harder to find.

Dark sky parks

Love Dark Sky! This is one reason, a beautiful pic of our Milky Way and your beautiful ( for so many tangible and intangible reasons) Airstream.
Thanks for sharing. Stimulates my wanderlust!
