6lb Prime Rib
Folks,
I can't post a pic here and that might disqualify my attempt at an entry but if you click on the link to us cooking a 6lb Prime Rib in a Dutch Oven with charcoal last fall at Alumaslider II it might inspire folks to give it a try.
The link goes to the Coleman Collectors Forum and a few of my Slider buddies are in the pic and my Slide is in the first pic and a "model" AS is on the table!

Camp cooking is it's own reward.

You're right. Looking for whatever you like to eat when
you are camping, at a rally or on a caravan. Your favorite stove, grill or anything food related. Airstream in picture is great but not required

May 2020 Photo Contest
Thanks MealsOnReels. Last summer I kept being asked to make chicken shawarma on the grill. Slow cooked it for 40-45 minutes. It was juicy and so flavorful[emoji39]

Dutch Oven cooking contest
At a recent get together we pulled out our dutch ovens and picked our favorite meal to share. Quite an array of tastes. Mmmm.

Normally, we host an International Bacon Day Party at home...but a couple of years ago, we decided to host a Bacon-themed rally. It was very well received - but wouldn't advise it very often! Bacon overload!
Breakfast - Chili Cheese Egg Puff w/Bacon Roses
Happy Hour - Bacon Bloody Mary Bar
Dinner - Bacon Explosion Burgers & PotLuck (everybody brought a side dish with bacon)
Dessert - Chocolate Covered Bacon Pops (in-the-making @ home) also made a Maple Ice Cream with Bacon Brittle...

Awww . . . come on . . . I am bacon you not to post such mouth-watering photos!
Do you have a recipe for that bacon-wrapped meatloaf, especially the innards? Are those yellow hard-boiled egg yolks?
Thanks,
Peter

Bacon Explosion!
It's called a " Bacon Explosion"...but I've modified " my recipe" over the past couple of years.
Bacon Explosion
Mix together 1-˝ lb Hamburger & ˝ lb Italian Sausage. Put in a gallon size ziplock bag and press into a flat slab - pushing out the air bubbles. Take 16 pieces of bacon (un-cooked) and weave like a basket over/under on top of a piece of saran wrap. It should be about the same size as the meet slab. Cut the ziplock to free the meat and turn it onto the bacon weave. Sprinkle meat with BBQ rub. Place 1 lb. of cooked/crumbled bacon on the meat slab. Place ˝ lb of shredded cheddar cheese on top of the bacon. Roll up the meat in the bacon tucking in the ends. Refrigerate overnight. I use my Traeger to smoke it about 1 hour on "smoke" then 3+/- hours 250-degrees. Then baste with BBQ Sauce. Slice & serve like a burger...each roll serves about 10-12 people.
The original recipe calls for all Italian sausage which is way too rich IMO...and it doesn't include the cheese.

Shari,
That's a good looking bacon feast. Sorry I missed that one!
SOME DAY I'd like to take my 20" Lodge skillet and FILL IT UP! with bacon and make it happen. No, not all laid out in nice strips throw it in and fry it in it's own grease as it builds up. We've done it with my other big skillets but not the 20".
Well done to the bacon feast.
Gary
