We have given thought as to what would be a fun theme for the March 2009 Photo Contest, and we think it would be interesting and entertaining to see how Airstreamers decorate their campsites to create a fun/festive/welcoming atmosphere for their own and their neighbors' enjoyment...

Photo submissions must show an Airstream, of course, and could feature an entire campsite ambiance created to be enjoyed by campers and visitors alike...or photos could feature a small detail of your campsite like the ever-popular flamingos, a welcome sign, wind chimes, whirly-gigs, an entrance name plaque, a table set for a feast, or campsite yard art in general. Or if you went all out for a holiday, rally or special event, that would be good, too.

My mom took up cermaincs and felt we just had to have this frog for our site. She is currently working on some Airstream gnomes for us

Great idea for this month's contest.

The picture below was taken at the Airforums rally at Moraine View State Park, IL. I believe the cup was given to us at another Airforums rally in Branson by our friends at Airstream of Arkansas. If you look closely, you will see six Airstreams in the picture. Coffee is good anytime.

Here are photos from several rallies and or gatherings. In no particular order is the New England Region Alumination Celebration Rally in NH, the Salem, OR International Rally and the first Vintage Jam held in Saratoga Springs, NY.

We always try to remember to have the sunflowers for open house day. The fireplace display was for Alumination Rally. Wildlife was it represent creatures we met while on our cross country trip that summer.

Awning, old bicycles and lil' skunks also come into play at times.

Still some time left to dig out those cool pictures of your creative Airstream campsites...you know the sties that people walk by and say, "Wow! Look at that! That looks like fun!"
