It is indeed. The actual name is Salvation Islands, which is comprised of Devil's Island, Royal Island and Saint-Joseph Island. The picture was taken on Saint-Joseph, just next to the cemetery. When did you go? The access to Devil's island itself has been forbidden for a while now. The two other are open.
All the pictures I posted in this contest are from my three years in French Guiana. I've been in the Mojave desert since then, no water here...

I love the range of subject matter and location
Thanks to the many contributors that have posted incredible photos.
I love the range of subject matter (trout, caimans, mountains, lakes, seashores, etc.), location (FL, GA, MS, Connecticut, Ohio, Washington, Texas, Michigan, and even French Guiana) and activity (fishing, mooch docking, sunset watching)!
As we are stuck at home this June, but these photos get us excited about our trip in July with stops at Bandit's Roost NC (a COE we haven't stayed at before), and Twin Lakes, SC (one of our favorite COE parks)

Well sorry to get off topic and I know this is not a pic of the water but this our 3 year old shorthair Koa. Pic was from our last camping trip in North Ga. I’ve owned many different breeds, all were good dogs but this one is by far the best. Intelligence is far superior and just an all around fantastic dog.

Great to see photos of Douthat State Park. A great campground for hiking and fishing.
During one of our memorable stays there at the Douthat White Oak location, a big rain event flooded the access road trapping us for a few days. Our site was high and dry so it was actually quite fun.
