As for July,

Summer is upon us and I hope everyone is healthy and safe. Great time to get out an enjoy the night. I am enjoying learning night photography and am working to improve my technique. Unfortunately the Northeast has to much light pollution to really get the best shots. I hope to get back west ASAP. With that being said.

JULY's theme will be nightime. Shot MUST include an Airstream (or part of it anyway)

** Please NO MORE than 3 photo's per person, give everyone a chance to have there photos seen.

I’ll add a placeholder as well. No submission yet. All my pics are with my iPhone so night shots aren’t so great unless asisted. This was taken with an iPhone held up to a 45x Vanguard birding scope.

Actually just wanted to show off my iPhone super moon photo [emoji6]. Fun to look at if you double tap/click it to make it enlarge. I took several others with different levels of brightness. Looking forward to others nighttime pictures taken with a real camera. Here is my submission photo

Hi Silvr, I think the theme is more or less self explanatory and I started off by posting a photo as a placeholder which in turn is unnecessary. I am pretty sure that Peter is just trying to keep us focused on the July contest.

I have dusted off my Nikon and we are heading out tomorrow with hopes of getting some night time shots with the Airstream photo bombing the shot

I am not sure if there is a general "photo thread" to capture any and all pics that members wish to share. Perhaps this can be created or a link to existing photo thread can be posted.

Thanks for the reply my suggestion then is to only judge what judges (who ever they are) include in the theme, and if they want disregard the rest. Although to me it’s very short sighted to limit the contest to such a narrow subject. My thoughts.

Silver, it was more of a reminder or hint.

Part of the fun on the monthly contest is trying to stick to the theme. Theme is what the winner of last months contest picks and they get to pick the winner.

The winner gets to say if an Airstream needs to be in the photo or not.

The monthly photo contest rules are published in the photography hobby thread.

There are so many threads that are condusive to photos that limiting one thread with a specific purpose like the monthly contest is okay.

Some folks don't read the beginning of the posts so they just post a nice photo without realizing.

Thanks, maybe a reminder or a pointer to the ‘rules’, like in the first post of the month so users are aware of the rules, probably would make for better participation by members.
