July 07 Photo Contest

Hi everyone.

Ok, after some though, the theme for the July photo contest will be 'WATER'. Water must be, along with an Airstream, a focal point of the picture.

Extra points will be given if:

1) . . . the picture excludes other man-made objects
2) . . . the picture is accented by a complex array of color
3) . . . the picture has an allurement about it that would draw a potential buyer to Airstream.

Most generally, pictures with the Airstream placed far in the background will not be rated as high as those with the Airstream in a more predominate place.

Please do not hesitate to use unusual perspectives of the more attractive features of our beloved Airstream.

Fire is not considered a man -made object.
A road is considered a man-made object, even if it is not paved.

Good luck!!

Well, it's not likely to win any awards, but here's a pic from our last trip. The water is Navajo Lake in NW New Mexico.

Yes I meant the campsite .
Going to have to figure a way to get my family there sometime. I have never been that far west in Canada. My Mother is a "Newfie" so my travels have only involved the eastern part of Canada. Big road trips when I was a kid, only we did it in a VW bus .

I went to your website, the place is beautiful!

Eastern Canada

Or, I should say the VERY Eastern part . I'm sure you hadn't considered yourself very West.

Rivet Bon Secure Bay

Bon Secure Bay, off Mobile Bay near Gulf Shores, Alabama, Spring 1997. Have submitted this once before, but the water topic is better suited for this shot. (Minolta Maxxum 7000, Kodak Ektar 25, Kodak Paper, HP ScanJet 4C.)

Help!!! With pictures like these, we gotta have a special prize: Any vendors out there interested in these pictures - willing to encourage more of the same with a prize? Who knows, maybe the winner would let the vendor use the picture for commercial use . . . just a thought.

One of Gramps!

This one, taken in Feb 1963, is one that my grandfather took while up in a Rally Whirlybird, on Watson Island, Miami. Look at all that water! He and my aunt are in the whirlybird. Enjoy! This is what it is all about. I'll be this area is all high rise condos now!

Great shot, specially since the lake is, what, 15 feet below normal levels? Thank goodness we are getting rain this week.
