February 2025 Photo Challenge - Love is in the Air(stream)

This months themed challenge is Love is in the Air(stream)


Valentine's Day is this month! Post up your photos of the best romantic*getaway locations, fanciest flowers, finest chocolates, the best candlelit dinner shots*or anything else that is an homage to love.*

Photos should*include an Airstream or part of an Airstream (inside or out).

Bonus points for a fabulous explanation!

The winner gets bragging rights, the opportunity to post up the next contest, and an AIR Forums flag.

Hey, time to get this started! We bought our 2006 Airstream Safari in 2017 for to celebrate our 30th anniversary. We have really enjoyed travelling together, sharing in the driving, with our vacation condo on wheels right behind us. We love exploring new places, visiting favorite spots, and sharing our second home with family members for them to enjoy from time to time. I found a few photos that might apply to the theme this month.

Here is the "morning after" Valentines Day picture. Even though there were hard feelings after the the evening dirty marbles game battle, outside temps in the low 30's ensured snuggling for heat.

So, this morning I was scrolling through my MSN newsfeed, and I saw an article titled "20 COOLEST AIRSTREAM RENTALS AROUND THE WORLD" by Nora Reynolds.

I was clicking through the slides and reached slide 16, "Snowy Solitude in Banff, Canada" and being represented as a rental. To my surprise, it was a picture of my TV and Airstream taken at Tunnel Mountain Village in Banff, which I had posted on this forum in a discussion thread about camping there.

I guess the message is that when posting pictures, keep in mind that it is in the public domain and may be used for something beyond its original intended purpose.

Interesting, looks like you're going to have to start renting it out. I didn't see any snowy solitude in the picture either. It does have the Airstream Forums copyright and clicking on it, brings me to the thread your picture was posted on.

I suppose you can write Nora Reynolds (if that's her real name) and have her take it down. I have a feeling she needed something to pad out her rental list and get clicks.

I think it was just the surprise followed by the realization that when you post something on one platform it is then out there for grabs and can be re-posted anywhere.

The internet is a vast and open space where once something is posted, it can be shared and reposted across various platforms. It's always important to be reminded and mindful of the content you share and the potential reach it might have.

You know what’s funny… recollecting what was the most the most “romantic” trigger of our stay at Potters Creek site north of San Antonio…? Those little flickering flame hanging solar lanterns at the corners of the awning. Purchased for 20 bucks. Wife’s reaction= priceless.
