Where did you stay? The campgrounds in town?
I always stayed north a bit at Centennial, between Ridgway and Montrose. Should have tried Ridgway SP, but never did.

Those pics were taken from Ouray Riverside Resort. It’s nice, clean, and walking distance to town. We always head down to Ridgeway State Park to fly fish the tail waters beneath the dam on the Uncompaghre River. It’s a great fishing spot. I may stay at the State Park next time. We have also camped in Montrose, and we’ve camped in the Black Canyon area too. It’s a beautiful part of the state.
