December 2011 Photo contest

After having won the dubious honor of lasts months' photo contest with a picture of my rusted frame I have decided that I need to bring some holiday cheer (and not the beverage kind!) to this contest.

The rules are simple. Your photo must have an airstream in it and contain winter holiday decorations.

Since I am a veterinarian, your picture will be awarded bonus points if there is a pet present!!

The prize will be ....... a set of Airstream lights to hang wherever your heart desires!

Here is my picture and if you look very closely you will see my Zona sitting inside on the Gaucho watching everything going on through the window. We travel everywhere with our 3 dogs.

Peace on Earth (Shells back on frame)

Wild Turkey and snow surely counts as decorations?

If not, can I count the 7-pin hitch connector wire bundle?

I'm cheating here because the photo of our pup was taken earlier in the snow...but the Christmas decorations were really taken this weekend in our AS. Cut the cedar boughs from our yard right before we left and our little trailer smelled wonderfully "Christmasy" all weekend Happy Holidays everyone...this will be a fun, fun thread to watch!

We live at the base of an 'Ice Age Era' 120-foot-tall River bluff, now 120 feet above & 7/10ths of a mile from the modern Mississippi river.

Now that the leaves are off the trees there is a Turkey who watches the yards from up on the bluff and will come down and ask nicely for a handful or two of cracked corn when she spots me in the back yard.

Even though the bluff knocks 45+ minutes of direct sunlight off in the evenings it also keeps the North and West winds blowing a hundred feet over the house making winter much more bearable - and has enough wild land all sorts of winter-tamed animals wander in...
