Route 33 from Elkins, WV to Harrisonburg, VA. First time towing a travel trailer other than the trip from Michigan to Ohio after buying it. We have never been on this road before but decided to just try it and this was the first time my wife ever towed. First picture is at the top of Allegheny Mountain where she decided it was my turn to drive. Second picture is where I had pulled over to check brakes which were a little hot before but at that point fine once I started downshifting.Click image for larger version

Just had to say I love the trailer and the pickup. I have had a 53 and two 54 Chevy pickups, but I never towed anything with them. What year is your pickup (48-53) and how does it tow your trailer?

Sorry, the second photo, the one with the pick-up isn't my rig - just one we saw on a back road near Buena Vista.

Our trailer (Birdy) is in the first picture. I just loved the ol' truck & Caravel/Globetrotter (didn't get close enough to really check it out) in the middle of nowhere and snapped the shot.

Thanks for that inspiring quote from John Muir, and a great theme!

Lots of good photos so far.

Even though I found this photo on my iPad, I now don't believe that I took it since the Airstream in the photo is not mine so please withdraw the submission from the contest. Jim

Several pictures from the 2016 Wyoming Rockdocking adventure:

The first is a picture of the group parked on Beaver Rim. The second is our trailer and Suburban on the way to Double Cabin and the third is a group picture at Grey's River.

Thanks again to everyone who participated in the Rockdocking caravan and particularly those who organized the trip. For those of us who aren't able to make it "west" very often it was a bucket list adventure!
