On the beaten path....
Here is a shot taken by one of our fellow Airstreamer's as we were hiking to the Hauser Geode Bed in the Mule Mountains near Blythe CA during a boondocking rally a couple of weeks ago.

Double rainbows seem to happy fairly often at Black Rock City. This place is far off the beaten path, but it's right in the middle of 50,000. Go figure.

Southern most campground in the US? Boyd's in Key West, just taken a few days ago. Love a peaceful Airstream oasis at night.

Beautiful, but I don't think it is the southernmost campground in the U.S. I have camped in some great campgrounds on the Big Island in Hawaii which is significantly further south than Key West. However, I would still love to spend some time at Boyd's (southernmost campground in the upper 49 states).

Head east from L.A., almost to Arizona; turn right, through tumbleweeds and desert scrub, past a prison (pay attention to the "Do Not Pick Up Hitchhikers" sign) then turn off the paved road onto half a dozen miles of bone shattering, rivet popping dirt washboard. Turn right and park your trailer. Pop a beer and wait for the stars to come out.
