Airstreams in Google Streetview?
Has anyone seen Airstreams while perusing the Google Streetview. Ours is there, but that is too easy.
Any more? I will keep looking.

OK. I found another one in our town. Actually these are people that were in our WBCCI unit but no longer have their trailer. An older picture.

you are welcome to check out my Overlander in my street view 2414 Rockwell Ave, Catonsville, MD 21228 - Google Maps
The photo was taken on a very nasty winter day and my house has been totally made over since then.

Not sure if anyone has tried maps.live.com (not sure why it say this for the link, but work with me here.) Your web browser and the Maps site are incompatible. It has a "birds eye View" function that allows you to see your house and fly 360 degrees around it. It is so cool, I use it to find locations to meet people on the road. this way I can see ahead of time if it has a large parking lot to turn around in. i also used it to check out what the camp ground actually looked like and not rely on the website photos.

I have seen the street view for my house. I actually requested google to remove it for invasion of privacy. So far no luck. I will also do request the same from maps live. I don't like the fact that just any one could view my house and outside belonging. Call me paranoid, but I would hate for some thing to happen while I was away. I do believe it makes it way to easy to case a home or place of business for burglars. Just my thought.

While I agree in principle with your reason, I have viewed both software images of my house and MS-Live's image is from winter more than three years ago (based on trucks in the driveway) and Google's image is so fuzzy that I can't tell what is in the driveway, but I know it is the same image that has been on file for more than two years. I don't have a street view of my house with either so I can't imagine anyone getting enough information to "case" my house for burglary or any thing else. I know there are other instances where the image is more up to date, but until then, I'm not worried.

You're probably going to have a hard time getting them to omit or 'fuzzy' up your home images...these pic's are taken while on a public road, and as such are probably considered to be 'public' property, as such...
I've noticed our county site has these 'street view' images attached to the property records...probably a bunch of 'uses' will be found by the various govt. departments to use these images - police, fire, assessor, etc...big brother is looking into our lives more that we know, and certainly more than 'I' ever would want!!!

My wife also thinks these things are creepy. My response is, what is there to stop someone from driving by our house and taking pictures? Nothing. As far as governments using them, they could also come out and do the same thing but it is easier to use the computer.

Here's some AS's at RV's of Sacramento, CA... 1051 el camino ave., sacramento, ca - Google Maps
If you move up or down the road, the trailers are gone - seems they take the pic's on different days...

Now speaking of CREEPY...we had someone knock on our door a couple of weeks ago, to tell us they were just saving a waypoint of our house for the Census Bureau...!!
They got away before I could question them more...hope it was legit...never got any notification of that kind of a 'survey'....now that I think about it again, I'm going to check with Census to make sure...
'Big brother' is creeping me out!

Odd this post came back up. About a week ago I tried to see if ours was on the overhead map view (we live in too rural an area for the street views). Unfortunately, the map was too old to show ours...

But with the help of my wife (to remember the directions of the PO), I was still able to get a picture of it! No streetview there either...
