Me to me 1957 FC followed me home today.

Brought a 1957 FC home today, 275 miles.

The inside is gutted and it will need some frame love. But the price was right…..Free! Can’t wait to get started on it.

Congrats on your 57 FC. It looks to be in pretty good shape. You’ll have a lot of fun renovating that one. Also, what is the serial number on the tag to the right of the door? If you want the 57 listed on the “CaptainJones’ Flying Cloud Registry”, just let me know. Good luck and maybe start a renovation thread.

Sooper trailer, have fun, and don't get discouraged during the 'fix-up", it will end.

We also started with vintage...

Free is good!

What a find, and the price is always my favorite, free. Pictures sure look like it's in pretty nice condition. Wish you the very best, and keep us posted.

Looks like a good project. It should keep you busy for a long time. You started at the right price, but that cost will grow significantly as you progress. At least the labor is free too. I spent two winters on my former 66 Trade Wind 24'. It was great fun.

Congratulations on your find. I have a 1952 FC 21. I believe the body is same length, but frame is shorter. It towed poorly when I first got it and I lengthened the frame, installed a dexter axle and increased tongue weight. It now tows great. IMO it doesn't need a weight distribution hitch or sway control. Take a lot of photos of your resto. It is good to know where wires, water lines etc are hidden behind the walls. Good luck and have patience. It is a lot of work to restore an Airstream.

Love the price. I have a 69 Sovereign and it was a family project. We had a blast doing and we enjoy using it. Good luck and don't get discouraged during the process.

Congratulations! I have a '58 FC. Took me 2 years to renovate it. Kept it original as much as possible. Not into "glamming" a vintage.

Nice score!

No regrets after re-furbing my '61 Spaceliner! Get out the check book and don't hold back!
