Funny - I was just wondering this morning if my 1960 Vespa might fit in our 1962 Globe Trotter, (positioned precisely over the axle, of course).

I own a Honda 1100cc cruiser and owned a Basecamp before it was destroyed in a fire. My cruiser easily fit. I'm sure the largest Gold Wing will fit. I have seen a full size four wheel ATV in one. I can't imagine the Harley wouldn't fit.

I wonder if my Triumph Bonneville would tow a Globe Trotter?

I know nothing about the space in a BaseCamp but I do have a HD Dresser. With the hard bags and tour pak, you need a minimum of 9' of straight space and tie downs for it.

The easiest way to verify would be to ride to your nearest Airstream dealer, and see if it will fit.
Okay, maybe not the esaiest way, but it's an excuse to go somewhere.

I own a 2007 Road Glide it will fit in an 8ft pick up truc bed with the tailgate closed. I have seen promational material from Airstream that shows a V Rod in a Basecamp. So that may give you some point of referance. here are the exterior dimensions
Length 16'2"Width 7'2"Height 8'2"Interior Height 6'1"
Floor plan fails to show dimensions. but you would be very close to max weight Cargo Weight 820 lbs

yes it will fit but... mostly depends on how high the bike frame is from the ground. The basecamp has a ramp that "hooks" in place over the steps of the basecamp. It is a short length ramp therefore creats a high angle and if the bike sits low it will most likely bottom out, but once you get past that point it will fit.

I like this smaller alternative to a larger AS that fits with my 05 Tacoma. It's great that it's a toy hauler and camper in one. I wish the Knaus YAT was available here in the states.

My Dad carried a Vespa in our 1959 18' International (this is back when both the Airstream & the Vespa were new). He installed anchors (threaded sleeves) in the floor and drilled a hole in each side of the floorboard on the Vespa to install mounting bolts. It rode many thousands of miles like this. The Vespa was secured just forward of the axle.
The only problem I remember was that you had to turn the handlebars slightly to get it through the door. It took both of us to get it in and out of the trailer.
I now carry an electric scooter similar to this one Wally had. I can put it in the trailer all by myself.
