I've also been trying to understand the SunExplorer controller and monitor functions.
This YouTube by AS (
) says no solar charging until battery voltage falls below 12.4v. In contrast, the SunExplorer II manual says on pg 12, "...when the trailer loads draw the battery down below 12.7VDC the controller begins a new charge cycle."
So could this difference be because the YouTube was referring to flooded batteries vs the AGMs that are installed by AS in 2019 trailers (see table below)?
