Simple fix for refrigerator door opening while towing

We have had our refrigerator door come open several times while towing. The latch appears fine as I can't just pull the door open without using the latch.

I am guessing that under certain conditions the trailer flexes which also flexes the refrigerator and pops open the door.

I purchased two small marine rope cleats and 30 inches of small nylon ripcord. I mounted one cleat on each side of the door and then used the rope from cleat to cleat across the front of the door.

We use eye hooks and bungees on both doors (refrigerator and freezer).

Adjustable Curtain rods with their rubber ends work for us. They were very helpful on our 27’ FC drawers used vertically and now on the reefer doors of the Classic.
