New Basecamp 20X REI Edition - updated water heater?

So I just saw the release video of the new Basecamp 20X REI edition, which includes a "hot water recirculation feature" so you don't waste water while it's heating up. I know there has been much angst expressed in these forums regarding the on-demand water heaters. As advertised in the video, no hot water comes out of the faucet until it is at temperature.

Does anyone have any info as to what the "recirculation feature" on the new Basecamp REI edition is? Is this a new/improved water heater, or is this feature external to the existing water heater? If it's something that can be added to the current version, count me in as being interested!

Update on the "recirculation feature" of the REI Basecamp water heater. I was at the Hershey RV show last week and spoke with Airstream's GM of Travel Trailers (Bryan Melton) and asked specifically about this feature. He said the new REI Basecamp uses an upgraded Suburban water heater and the recirculation feature is built in.

Ugh, I was so disappointed that this was something I couldn't easily add on that I totally forgot to ask if the other Basecamp models (or any other model of Airstream) was getting the same upgraded water heater. :-(

Not sure if it is the same water heater, but the new Trade Wind also has a hot water recirculation feature.
