Lights Flicking with Water Pump

Any ideas why my lights are flickering each time my water pump comes on? And keeps turn on and off for a couple of minutes afterwards? We just picked this up in Nov and didn't do this before. Hoping for an easy fix.

Here is a video, hard to tell but the lights do flicker each time the pump comes on after I turn off the faucet.

Ours did that when a breaker tripped inexplicably and the batteries stopped being charged. As the voltage got lower and lower the flickering lights were the first symptom of a problem. Check your battery voltage.

My LED lights flicker when the water pump runs, particularly when the pump slows down as the pressure comes up. The LEDs respond immediately to voltage variations where incandescents and fluorescents do not. I'm considering putting an electrolytic capacitor on each of my fixtures to try to reduce or eliminate it, but haven't done it yet.

Agree with all of the above. My lights briefly very slightly dim in my house when the heat pump or well pump kick on. All of these are a big load when the kick on and will briefly drop the voltage. Demand pumps with ‘pulse’ when the water draw is low, causing continuous flickering.

Fiala06.......I agree that the flickering of the lights is probably caused by a low voltage issue. To prevent the cycling of the pump as it brings the system up to pressure you can install a expansion tank on the pressure side of your pump. It provides an air cushion in the line and stops the cycling when the pump is getting close to its shut off pressure. I installed one on my boat's water system and it stopped the problem.

Short Answer: If on battery, then your batteries are low. If on shore power, something is wrong, take it to dealer.
