Lid of compartment over propane tanks

Has anyone figured out a way to hold the lid up out of the way so you can wrap the electric cord up without smacking your head?

I use a bungee cord, one end thru the loop of the closure elastic and the other in the gutter channel on the roof.

You just need to experiment a little to get the right length. You want the bungee to be under just a little bit of tension to hold the cover open,

Try using a stick about 18" or so long, and prop the cover up.
