CPAP in a Basecamp

Where do you set your unit at night? How do you power it?

Thanks

Not for a Basecamp, but we added a separate AGM battery subsystem with outlets on each side of the bed for 12v CPAP plugs. We charge with a Honda 1000 for our 22 ft and with a 2200w Ryobi for the 26 ft. Of course, with city power, we just plug them in.

The outlets are in one of the shots here; https://www.airforums.com/forums/f39...er-155180.html for the 26 ft.

We priced the individual battery packs from the manufacturer for the CPAP and, believe it or not, putting in the separate system was cheaper.

Good luck,

Roy and Marie

I had dealer install 12v outlet next to USB On rear street side bench, running 12v power cord from below bed up near door to rear corner of bed where cpap rests. Solar recharged battery during day.

my CPAP uses AC power. The 12volt system will run a pure sine wave inverter (the only thing that will run my CPAP)..with heated tube and humidifier you need to check your system for the power use and get an appropriate sized inverter. It is simple to run an extension cord from the inverter to the CPAP.

Most modern CPAP machines will operate on either 12v or 120v. I purchased a 12v cord for Marie's machine, it simply plugs into the machine where the round power inlet is.

My old CPAP ran on 12 volts. My new one runs on 24 volts. I use an inverter. I do turn the hose heat off and the humidity down when in the trailer. (Not a Basecamp).
