Can't get water out of taps....new person

Total new person question,
Read the manual,
can't see what i'm doing wrong...

'17 Basecamp 16'

Hooked to shore power.
Just filled the fresh water tank, it shows at 100%
All fuses and breakers good.
All lines in "open" position.
Fuse on pump itself is good.

But, for the life of me, I can't see how to actually get water out of the tap!

It's got to be something easy....
help please?

Does your trailer have a pump on/off switch?

Mine does not sure about yours.

If so, I don't see in the manual where that would be located. And I looked on the pump....
manual says it's an automatic thing.

Are you plugged into electricity?

If not, wherever you switch on to use your battery needs to be flipped.

If you’re in a campground, look around for a friendly face and ask for help.

If not, call where you bought it tomorrow and get some guidance.

Good luck,

Maggie

Your owners manual online says there is a water pump switch on your monitor panel.

OMG, wait.
They mean the switch on the BATT/FRESH/BLACK panel....

I thought that was for only pumping OUT and EMPTYING the tanks....

Thanks Maggieee......

Painfully obvious!

Is this the correct manual?

https://www.airstream.com/wp-content...-manual-97.pdf

On p. 5-15 [PDF p. 43/86] the illustration on the top right of the page shows the Sea Level II Monitor Panel, and the pump switch to which Maggie is referring is at the top right corner of that panel.

Does your hard copy of the owner's manual show the same thing?

The pump has to be "On" for water to flow from your water tank to the faucets.

The pump switch is on the Sea Level 11 monitor panel. There is a photo showing it on page 5-15 in the Owners Manual.

The black rocker switch on the Sea Level panel is labeled "PUMP" . . .

On p. 5-5 of the manual [PDF 33/86 of earlier link] it says "turn on the water pump switch located on the monitor panel."

Turn on the pump switch, open a faucet, find the pump and touch or listen to see if it is activated.

If not activated, you probably have an electrical issue or a failed pressure switch on the pump.

If activated, you either have an airlock in the water line or a failed pump head. Try priming the pump by adding a short hose to the intake (supply) side of the pump. Fill the hose with water and run the pump for a second or two. Replace the supply line to the pump. It should work. If not, buy and install a replacement pump head.

The pump diaphragms can fail if not properly winterized- I keep a spare on hand for that reason.
