Are the units coming with split bench top now? I toured a 16x unit a month ago and it had the bench spilt to accommodate the front table setup with the back table down for bed setup.

Brochure does not show the split. But I’ve been in one this summer that did and have heard from three people with new ones that have the split. I hope so.

Mine (2022 20X) came with the split back bench.

Picked up our 2022 20X on Saturday. Made a comment about the split-bench and the rep used that as an opportunity to talk about how Airstream "monitors" many forums, youtube, etc. and were horrified that people were cutting their benches in their new Basecamps- but also knew that it was an excellent idea. So they made a modification to the design.

Honestly, when I picked up my 2022 20X, I was all prepared with a handful of mods…which turned out to not be necessary as AS incorporated them from the factory.

Things like this split bench, a shower curtain, mesh storage in the bathroom, a routed pocket for the silverware holder, etc.
