Auxiliary light comes on randomly

I've noticed that the auxiliary light above the gray/black tank outlet comes on randomly. It does it while parked at my house and also while we've been traveling. It's a small LED pressure switch (not sure if that's the way to describe it). I'm sure it doesn't use up much battery power, but it's annoying to find it on at all hours of the day and night. Anyone have an idea why it might be coming on?

Lol… you’re not alone. There was a thread started last month or so about this same exact issue. I myself am a victim of this phenomenon. There were a few others that this happening to as well.
I asked my dealer to look into it during our walk thru. I was under the impression that he did look into the issue and they fixed it as the problem seem to have subsided.
I called up and asked him a little later what they did, he told me they didn’t find anything wrong with it so they just checked and tightened the connections.
Maybe that was the key… lol … Since then, I haven’t noticed the light randomly coming on. Translation … I’m sure it will return on my next camping trip.

I too have the random light on problem. I doesn't appear for months and then I notice it. It doesn't always happen when the Basecamp is being jostled on the road. Sometimes I notice it after a quiet overnight. It has a mind of its own.

I will take it to the dealer and have them see what is what.

Here is the other thread on this.

The person the figures it out should get some sort of a prize. It happened with both our '21 and '22 Basecamps.

Thanks for the replies. I looked for a thread on this issue and didn’t find it. I appreciate the common commiserations. I’m gonna take the challenge of finding the solution - starting with the “junk” switches theory.

I don't want to say we don't have that problem because then we will.

Water turns the light on

We have this issue. We discovered it happens when the light gets wet. When we take showers, water leaks out the side opening, down the camper, onto the light, it short circuits and turns on.
