Audi Q7 Side mirror extensions

We just placed our PO for a Basecamp 20X.. knowing that it is wider than the Audi, I assume that I will need Mirror Extensions. My Audi is 88" from the Edge of each mirror. The Basecamp is 93"... so I need something to see behind the trailer.
Anyone out there have experience with Audi Q7 or similar SUV?

Try etrailer.com and see what they recommend for your Audi. I’ve heard good things about Cipa towing mirrors, but I don’t have personal experience with them.

We have used for many years McKesh mirrors (https://hensleymfg.com/product/mckes...owing-mirrors/) on several Jeep Grand Cherokees for towing our 8' wide 19'. Easy to mount and unmount and they give us a very good, non-vibrating view behind the trailer. Our Jeeps have all had indented doors so we use built-up foam pads under the McKesh straps to stop vibration and humming when driving.

Less expensive copies of the McKesh mirrors are available. I have no idea if they work as well.

We tried the McKesh mirrors for a couple of years and found that they were reliable, solid and allowed for good rearward visibility. BUT
The straps that hold the mirrors to the doors were vibrating and started to make a bit of a mess of the paint on the Q5. We looked at others but were uncomfortable with the ways they attached. I then found Repusel.

This Dutch company will have exactly what you need. Pricey but worth every penny.

Enjoy towing with you Q7.

I towed with a Q7 for several years and used the Milenco Grand Aero mirrors. No straps to mess with. They came in a nice carry case and worked great. When I replaced the Q7 with a pickup they worked on those mirrors too. Great product.

We also use the Milenco Grand Aero mirrors with our MBZ GLS 450. We like them, easy to set up, does not mar the painted housing around the mirrors and no rattling. Just remember to turn off your automatic side mirror folding if you have that feature.

Milenco mirrors

I have an extra pair of these, with the carry bag, that I used once on my vehicle, but donít need with my current set up. Message me if interested.

We towed our 22' Caravel 7000 miles this summer with a Q7 and I second what's been said, the Dometic DM-2912 Milenco Grand Aero3 Towing Mirror is the one to get. I ordered 3 different sets of highly recommended mirrors and ended up returning the other two. Happy trails!

We use the Cipa mirrors on our Chevy and really like them but they did not have a good fit for the Audi Q7
