We're installing tire monitoring at long last, for both TV and trailer. The directions offer two means of mating sensors to the display monitor (touching the monitor with each before mounting, or the same after loose mounting). Does one way better the other?
Apparently, sensor batteries become powered by tightening sensors onto the valve stems. What do you recommend I do during months of trailer storage re sensor battery life? Since expected battery life is only a year, it seems wasteful to let them deplete in storage. Thoughts?

I found the instructions a little difficult to follow and as a result I like to do the sensors before mounting while sitting in front of the video on the computer. The sensors put out enough signal to program even when not mounted. One way to do storage is to remove the sensors and store them in a little box with labels for position. I left mine on and changed batteries after 2 years. I tossed the batteries I got from Amazon and got the batteries that work from TST.

Thanks, Bill. I did as you did. Next task is the repeater install. Haven't finalized a location yet, but will insert an online switch to avoid a ghost load when unplugged.

I did not install the repeater. My system did not need it.
