Will this buck rivet gun hunt?

I know I will soon need a buck rivet gun, very soon. This one is available locally. It's cheap (I think) but if it's not the right tool, cheap is a waste.
Does anyone know enough about these things to tell me yea or nea?
Here is the description:

Chicago Pneumatic Rivet Gun, Model CP4447-RUTAB.
Airframe reference 7XB (700), 1140 blows per minute, bore and stroke 3/4" x 3 7/8", energy per blow 13.1 Ft. Lbs., chisel shank size 0.498" Type D, rivet capacity in light aluminum 5/16", rivet capacity in hard aluminum 1/4", weight 5.1 Lbs., recommended air hose diameter 3/8".

Thanks for any advice,
Joe

Most rivet guns use a 0.401" tool shank size. You may find the tips or "sets" for this gun less available. You will need a "set" to fit each head size of rivet you plan to use. If all that comes with the gun, it might be a good buy. Chicago Pneumatic rivet guns are the Cadillac of the industry.

Happy Saturday mimandrews.
I am new to this, are you telling me that most Airstream rivets are 0.401"?
I wish I understood all the information the seller is telling and how it relates to my Airstream.

I think that is way bigger than you need or want. It's a 7X tool, you want a 3X.

I don't know if there are rivet sets for this gun in the size commonly used on Airstreams. Mimi is correct about the shank size.

It's way too heavy, and if you can find rivet sets that work it would probably punch holes through an Airstream.
