You can get a replacement window but it will be single pane and silver. Your windows may be double pane. The rock-guards cost more (1.5 at best-parts and labor) unless you do it yourself, but is well worth it. They protect your windows, they look good, keep heat out "from sun light in summer". Good investment!

Love it, love it, LOVE IT!!! Our Argosy desperately needs repainting; we've been toying with the idea of going with an original paint color. What a great inspiration. Can't wait for more pictures!

Eagle,
Seems that we are birds of a similar feather:
Next time I pass through Memphis we'll have to meet up for lunch or dinner at the Commissary.
As I recall, the parking lot there is small but we can leave our rigs out on the street and really stop traffic!
All the best,
Sergei

Sergi,
YOU BET! And by the way, that looks fantastic! I love the matching tow and play cars. What a great idea.
Now that I have mine painted, it doesn't match my tow car, so I guess I'll have to make a switch....hahaha.
Come on to the Commissary. The owner is a friend of mine, and I'd be glad to take you over there.

Sharon, shoot me a message and I'll tell you how ours was painted. Quick, fabulous, and inexpensive.

Your paint job looks great! Somewhere down the road we'll get around to that.
I chose to protect my panos with the flexible covers SmokelessJoe and others have used. You can't see them in the pictures he posted of his fantastic Argosy, but I only recently got mine and took some pictures.
Hornsby Canvas in Tilsonburg, Ontario will make them in any color of the Sunbrella canvas they can get. They already have a pattern that they made for SmokelessJoe's Argosy.
The system doesn't protect the center, flat-glass window. I specifically wanted it that way, because I like being able to see all the way through the trailer in the rear-view mirror, one of the things you give up with the regular Airstream rock guards. I also like the fact that the flexible covers pop off in a few seconds, so you get the benefit of all the light the panos let in when parked. I'm planning to make a Reflectix cover that runs the full width and attaches at the CommonSense fasteners for the pano covers so that I can keep the interior temps down in storage.

David,
Have you made the Reflextic covers you spoke of yet? They seemed like a good idea that I might copy too.
Here's the original window insulator/protector thread showing several subsequent takes on Nick's idea. Mine is at post #25.
http://www.airforums.com/forums/f469...s-46690-2.html
Incidentally, since having my protectors made I've been using another canvas maker in the same town for other stuff.
Half the price with no attitude.
If anyone is interested I can ask them if they can use my set to make a pattern for others.

I haven't made the reflectix storage cover yet. By the time I got the pano covers and got the common sense fasteners on, Texas weather had backed off to "cool" (probably equivalent to "early summer" for you!) allowing the reflectix cover to move down the priority list.
I think most of the work will be in making and applying plastic grommets for where it fastens on, or just getting some more common sense grommets. Can one buy just the grommets?
