Rusty Tongue

Hello all,
On my 75 Safari, there are some rust spots on the tongue around the propane tanks. I wanted to get rid of the rust an repaint before the Oregon rains return. It is either black or very dark grey. I know I saw this in posts elsewhere but am having no luck today.
Can someone advise what is the best paint to use. I think I saw there was a very good sealant paint to be used for this.

Por-!5

Hi, I like Por-15. I've used it on two trailers and a truck with great results. There are other products but, I can only speak for this one. Good luck neighbor.

A product that I've used for ferrous metal protection over the years with very good results is good ol' Rustoleum™.

I like and use POR15.
I know many AS restorers have used it for shell off restorations.

Hi P&S TRAILER, Helena Ohio, at one time refinished my trailer and they painted the Bannana Wrap and Tongue and Rear frame with
DUPI-COLOR T414 STORM GREY. Comes in a standard Aerosol can.
STORM GREY looks very nice. I have repainted the trailer tongue around the same area that you are addressing.
