I bought my '86 Sovereign with one of the stabilizers broken. I removed the busted one, but broke the heads of the bolts in place while doing it. I tried drilling the bolts out and dulled two extractors. I then simply tried drilling new holes, and found that no bit that I could find could drill into the frame. Is there a bit that is strong enough, or is my DeWalt drill no powerful enough to get this done??
It's the drill. I have the same year, slightly longer, Sovereign, and those are some herky rails. I dragged out my corded drill and got the new holes done. I tapped mine and bolted them up. Then had a beer.
