Question Exterior electrical outlet cover

I had the exterior cover come off in my hand when opening up the electrical outlet! This is held in place by a pin extending outward into the box riveted to the side of the trailer. The pin acts as a hinge. The pin is broken off. do I remove the whole box replace pin and re rivet to side of trailer? The outlet looks to be between the interior and exterior wheel well covers. I am redoing interior and have easy access to wheel covers. Don't want to redo rivets unless it's only way! Anyone been here?

Paul,

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the box has to be removed to fix it. You may do better getting one from a boneyard. The hinge pin is pressed into the fixture prior to installation in the coach. I had to replace one for the same reason and now I keep it well lubed.
