Ceramic Coating

Newbie here and first time Airstream owner. I have been a boater for most of my life and a lot of my friends have been ceramic coating their boats and I was wondering if anyone had done that here with their AS. Pros and Cons?

We applied a ceramic coating to the front corner of our 55 as an experiment. I never really followed up on the lasting results, unfortunately. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work to help protect the aluminum. Read up on Stewart Systems Evershield Ceramic Surface Treatment from Aircraft Spruce. Good luck

We have our 2020 GT 27 FB scheduled for ceramic coating in June. Expensive? Yes. Long lasting? Yes

But the effects (visual and potentially structural) of filiform corrosion and preventing that was a consideration.

Perhaps more important, cleaning the exterior will be easier and that is appealing to me.
