1963 Bambi Emblem

Good day to you all !

I posted before about my 1972 28' Land Yacht. As it is underway I've also launched the restoration of a fine, but weathered 1963 Bambi. I'm on Facebook under Airstream Crazy - you can follow along with the restoration.

Interior is out - exterior well underway - but here is the question. I didn't remove the "Bambi" Emblem as it is likely to break (I'm not removing the interior skin as I did in the 1972). Does anyone make a reproduction Bambi emblem?

Thanks so much.

Paul

Here's a link to a Bambi emblem that Vintage Trailer Supply sells:

Thanks

Thank you for the quick link. Ironically I usually go there first for NuVite, etc, but didn't, at first, see the emblem for the Bambi.

All is well - and the part is on the way.

You guys are great !

Hey Paul,
I broke the Bambi emblem on our trailer. I removed it to polish the skin, the interior skins were also removed. After reinstalling the emblem, it broke in the middle and then scratched the skin. I was just sick. Epoxy doesn't work. I did order one from vintage trailer supply. It is an exact reproduction although it's chrome plastic rather than pot metal. I couldn't be happier.

There has been talk about getting these emblems cast in bronze (or suitable metal) or laser cut in aluminum. I have meant to spearhead this many times (I have an EXCELLENT laser cutting shop very local to me), but have not had any time to make it happen.

Thankfullyy my Bambi emblem is in good shape...but one never knows.

Maybe someday...

if I could do it over I would mount the reproduction on the outside and put the original someplace safe, like as decoration on an interior wall. Safe from those troublesome polishing machines
