Water Tank Draining

I found the plastic valve to drain the water tank but I also noticed another copper valve near the plastic valve which I opened. Only about a pint of water came out of the copper valve. What is this valve?

Also, I never found the valve to drain the hot water tank under the carriage?

there should be two other copper drains in addition to the fresh water plastic tank drain. one is for the cold water low point drain, and one for hot. these have nothing to do with the hot water heater. the drain for that is in the on the front of the heater. just open the access panel and there is a small drain much like the low point drains. open that and the pressure relief valve to drain it.
