Pulling a 2007 25ft Safari with a Yukon Denali?

Has anybody used a 2008 Yukon Denali to pull a 2007 25ft Safari?

Will this work?

Ah - the question certain to stir all manner of opinions.

You are fine. Go for it.

If you end up doing a lot of towing, upgrade your transmission oil cooler for lower temps and longer life. 4.10 gearing would be another recommended upgrade that makes towing a far more pleasant experience.

It's the Suburban's shorter brother. In a word, "yes". Use WD and sway control gear.

Welcome from the Florida Panhandle

First off, welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.

We have a 2005 25F that we used to pull with our 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe (5.3 Liter). It did OK. We didn't feel insecure, but the Tahoe was just a little overmatched. We pull with a Hensley, so sway was not a problem. We also had (and still have) a 2005 Suburban 2500 that the we tow with. It just does a much better job. The Tahoe worked, but just not as well.

I am writing this tonight in the Airstream in Oxnard, California. I really would not have wanted to make this trip with the Tahoe.

Brian
