Ceiling lights

I want to change out my factory halogen ceiling lights to LED’s. Is there an LED that readily fits into the existing socket?

One source for replacement LED lights is the AS store (https://store.airstream.com/product/...ed-warm-white/).

Yes, there are. I have a 2006 and have started the replacements. Contact Dan at LED4RV. He has been a great source of information and help. First we did the socket lights and then the flood down lights. I have just ordered 4 of the ceiling lights that are in the bedroom. Once I figure out if I like them, I will do the rest. I really like the lack of heat produced.

My issue was with the bright white lights. We do not like the gymnasium feel with some of the brights. We went with warm lights and I believe that they match the existing lights very closely. We did go brighter in the bathroom and the wife likes the lighting in front of the mirror there.

Again, talk with Dan, or email him and he will offer up good advice.

Ceiling lights

Went with warm white LEDs from LED4RV. Easy once I found out how to get the light lenses apart. (Pry carefully around the inner ring just outside the glass lens with a dull knife blade).
Check to see what bulbs are in there. I used LED4RV assemblies with prongs on the side in the recessed and puck lights, and used ones with the prongs on the back for the several reading lights.
They also stock LED assemblies that fit in the over door ‘porch light’ and the bathroom and closet lights that substituted for the ‘bulbs with brass bayonet bases’. (Say that three times real fast...)

Just find out what type bulbs you currently use and buy the LED equivalent in either bright white or soft white. We went with soft white. Easy on the eyes, IMHO.

We sent Dan photos of the lights we wanted to replace with LED. He was great and sent links for replacement bulbs. We changed out all to LED in our 2006. It was easy and we really like the soft white. Well worth it.
