Where to put a DVD player?
Hello,
Our new-to-us Safari is DVD-less. Where do we install (or where have you installed) a DVD player? I have looked at so many pictures they all run together but I recall seeing one in the left compartment above the dinette in one model by the radio.
Are there cables that connect next to where the TV is mounted on the wall?
Suggestions greatly appreciated!
Teresa

I bought a Colby DVD at Walmart for $15 because it has a small footprint and mounted it on top of the fridge countertop. It is directly below the TV wall mount and I secured it with Velcro so it can be removed and stored if not using.

I purchased the combination tv w/ dvd. Also used wall brackets that are placed in bedroom area and living area so we can move the TV to either place.

You can do several things, depending on how you want your a/v system to work. You can get a small dvd player, and place it near the TV, you can get a personal DVD player, and use the auxiliary output connections to hook it to the TV, you can get a DVD/tv combo unit, or you can get a DVD player/cd player/am/fm radio combo, and place it where the stereo is currently located. The last chjoice will easily allow you to channel the sound through the coach's speaker system for "instant surround sound".

We also opted for a combination TV / DVD player -- the Toshiba 19" model -- picked it up at Costco for around $260.
I am working on getting it wired into my stereo system input jacks. We already have power, and cable jacks installed on the wall next to the fridge.

Hi, Teresa. I don't know if this will help you, but mine was inside of the original Credenza, where the TV connections are. And now it is in my new Credenza under the location of my TV's new location. [see pictures]

Hi Roger,
Can you believe we got one!!
Wish we could now that I have an AS to show off! Not that I'm giving you an excuse just letting you know we fly to Wyoming 8/1 for an Adventures by Disney trip commemorating the boy's graduation from high school. Next year we want to be there!
